Former Motorhead guitarist dies…

Sad to report the death of former Motorhead guitarist, Wurzel aka Michael Burston aged 61. Unconfirmed reports suggest a massive heart attack as the cause of death.

Michael Burston was born on October 23, 1949 and was best know for replacing Brian Robertson (along with Phil Campbell) in Motorhead and appearing on the studio albums ‘No Remorse’ (1984), ‘Orgasmatron’ (1986), ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll’ (1987), ‘1916′ (1991), ‘March Or Die’ (1992), ‘Bastards’ (1993) and ‘Sacrifice’ (1995). Wurzel left Motorhead in 1995 and was last working with his new band Leader of Down.

He was a charismatic figure and along with Gary Moore this year will leave a void in the guitar world.
