I've been listening to this a bit over the last couple of days.
Groovey heavy riffs in a slow stoner sort of style kind of similar to Kyuss.
I've found it hard to listen to the whole album in one go due to the general slowness of the album but I like all the tracks and think it is an excellent "playlist" album where you just hear a track now and then.
When I got home last night the Methdrinker CD was playing and I thought at first it was Beastwars.

Saw their album release at Thirsty Dog in Auck in the weekend.
They wouldnt let me in at first because the place was at full capacity, told me to wait half an hour. Waited ten minutes and snuck in with a crowd of people that had just come out for a smoke.
Heard the end of Arc of Ascent, John wearing a Hawaiian shirt was a treat.
Beastwars were amazing. Easily the tightest band I have seen live. Not really my style of music to listen to CD wise, but would watch them live again easily. Singer looks like he is summoning a demon half the time.

Just that beard makes him look like a scary mogrel.
I saw them on three news one night and was sold. Tried to get the chance to review the album, but someone else got in and did a piss poor effort.
I kind of like the slowness. Goes with the stonedness while listening to them. I have struggled to get thru the whole album too tho.

Fair call.
Think I'm letting my opinions get in the way of appreciation.

I'm going with no.
I usually like Terry666's stuff, but for some reason didn't feel this review represented the album in the light I had seen it in. Discordant ideals and perceptions. Also sour grapes...

I actually just read the review and it's not that bad.
My apologies to Terry666 and his avid supporter...
