Unfortunately Take the Will had to pull out due to Nate having an op, were replaced by Wellingtons Kobosh.
Rolled up to the venue and were surprised by the height of the stage, its wicked huge. Kings Arms is a great venue. Not as big as I had invisioned. The Black Dahlia Murder gig there next week will be shit packed to the brim.
We (The Zombie Heist) opened the show, got a real decent amount of people watching (Maybe 90) and paying really good attention to our sounds. We had first gig jitters but played well I think.
Rule of Thieves second. Really dug their sound, quite Deftones influenced. Definitly a band to watch if you get a chance in future.
Kobosh last. Had listened to thier myspace track and had preconceptions of what they would be like. Quite surprised after watching them though. Easily the most talented band of the night. Still not my style of music but they are REALLY good at what they do.
On a side note: We had heaps of randoms come up and say they really enjoyed our music and couldnt believe it was our first gig. Kobosh singer even announced in their last song how impressed they were and that you dont find bands of our calibre often (sorry for the wank but gave us a HUGE boost). Even got offered another gig by the manager of Real Groovy.
Will be looking to play The Factory in the future please Andy.

Would love to have you guys play at the FACTORY but i have no idea if Rich and Hugh wanna do anymore shows after the last scheduled show this Saturday.
I ended up canceling all shows in June and July. I'm off to UK from August 2nd to September 15th so I won't be organizing anything until then.
Will see what happens.

Real? Are they not keen to do shows or they are just lost without your guidance?
Wouldnt really want to do a show unless you are running it Andy
What are you up to in the UK?

There's a whole bunch of reasons why Rich and Hugh wanna cool it with shows for the timebeing. (theft/security issues, money issues, loss of weekends etc, etc)

Thanks for your vote of confidence- it means a lot. If Factory do end up having shows then it will be run differently to how it's gone on for the last 19 shows (21 including this Friday and Saturday's show).

Visiting family and hopefully get in a few gigs over there. It's international-band touring season so I choose a good time to cruise over!
